According to the BLS (Bureau of Labor Statistics), the unemployment rate in Oklahoma City climbed 0.5 percent between September and October to its current rate of 6.5 percent. That number is still substantially below the national unemployment rate of 10 percent, however.</p>
<p>If you do manage to score a job in Oklahoma City, you’ll likely be making less per hour than people in other states. However, there are still great jobs out there. Consider child care jobs, which pay $9.12 an hour (on average) in Oklahoma City.</p>
